Apple Adding Chip Team to India

In Apple’s latest push to join an increasing market and economy, they now have a dedicated team of chip engineers working in Bengaluru, India.

More than 160 Intel engineers will join this team in close relation to Apple’s $1 billion Intel acquisition from July The Times of India is reporting.

Apple has begun increasing its involvment in India, only ealirer this month annoucing the start of production of the iPhone XR in India following the production of the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.

Apple has shown even more interst in the Indian ecocny, planning to contuine investment and contuine to move their production supply chain reliance away from countries like China.
