In an interview, macOS Marketing Director Todd Benjamin said that Apple is gathering lots of feedback from developers on Catalysts and Apple plans to release new resources to make the experience and quality of Catalysts even better.

Catalysts have gotten mixed reviews from the community, with initial concerns of macOS and the iOS/iPadOS app ecosystem combining, to more prominent concerns over speed, reliability, and user experience.

Following macOS Catalina’s launch on October 7th, a slew of apps got updated and/or released being built on the Catalysts framework, more recently Twitter launched its Mac app.

While Todd Benjamin did not specifically state what resources and tools would be offered to developers but did state the additional resources should make the overall experience easier for developers to transfer existing iOS apps to the Mac.
