Ming Chi-Kuo says iPhone SE 2 entering production in January

Ming Chi-Kuo is now stating that Apple is planning to have the long-rumored iPhone SE 2 being production in January slated at a launch at the end of March.

Rumors for the iPhone SE 2 sprung up earlier this year when Kuo first reported on the new iPhone being launched at Q1 in 2020.

Kuo is expecting the new iPhone model will follow the design scheme of the iPhone 8, yet feature many newer iPhone specs such as an A13 CPU. Kuo, however, does note that the iPhone SE 2 is expected to have a home button, but no 3D touch.

Kuo has yet to state whether he believes Apple will adopt an under the screen fingerprint reader, similar to that on Andoird flagships, or if Apple will incorporate FaceID in the bezel.

Alongside the addition of the home button, Kuo is also saying, in relation to previous reports that Apple is testing different display models from LG that the display will be a liquid crystal polymer display, and not a Retina display.
