US Presidental hopeful Senator Bernie Sanders has called out Apple after Apple’ announced an investment of $2.5 billion in aiding the California housing crisis.
A statement put out by the Sanders campaign says.
“Apple’s announcement that it is entering the real estate lending business is an effort to distract from the fact that it has helped create California’s housing crisis,”
“We cannot rely on corporate tax evaders to solve California’s housing crisis.”
The Senator who campaigns on fighting for the middle class and going against the top 1% has long been critical of Silicon Valley, from Apple, Google and Amazon over their unequal pay distribution and exploiting cooperate tax loopholes.
