Apple display supplier reports nets lose of $233 million

Apple display supplier, Japan Display Inc. has reported a net loss of $233 million from July to September.

Apple has been using JDI for years and has reported losing money recently due to the slower adoption of OLED screens in the Apple product lineup.

Reuters notes that JDI CEO Minoru Kikuoka, who took control in September “told an earnings briefing the company turned profitable in October.”

In attempts to revive the cash deprived company, Apple has committed to invest $200 million according to sources, and with “Hong Kong-based Oasis Management is likely to contribute $150-180 million,”
