In a tweet today, US President Donald Trump says he asked Apple CEO Tim Cook during his tour of Apple’s Mac Pro plant in Austin, Texas yesterday if Apple could help build 5G in the US.

We are unaware of Tim’s response, most likely since whatever response he gave could be a confirmation towards Apple’s plan to include 5G in its future iPhones according to Ming-Chi Kuo. Apple’s current flagships, the iPhone 11 series does not support 5G, while Samsung has been supporting it.

Apple has been slow to adopt support for 5G, most likely to perfect it, but also to wait until 5G technologies are in the mainstream.
