Apple wins new design patents and files trademark in Hong Kong

Reported by Patently Apple, today Apple “was granted 17 design patents for their new 2019 iPhone 11 and 11-Pro models in Hong Kong.”

Patently Apple notes that design patents differ from patent application since application provide an abstract overview of an invention. Design parents only refer to the specific design without any extra information.

In specific, Appl as granted design patent 1914130.2M008 for the black and white iPhone 11 Pro by the Hong Kong Office.

Apple was also granted patent 1914134.0M001 for the iPhone 11.

Apple also filed two trademarks in Hong Kong, one for the Reality Composer icon and another for Mac Catalysts.
