Despite having just gotten a new 16-inch MacBook Pro not too long ago, we are expecting new 14-inch models relatively soon according to Apple leaker Jon Prosser. That 14-inch model is likely to replace the current 13-inch model of the lineup. And today’s updated leak makes perfect sense.
A Twitter account who leaked in February that Apple was testing a MacBook Pro with 32GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD is now updating its leak. Now, the leaker is saying it’ll have 4TB of SSD storage instead of 2.
If the leak is true, it would be one hell of a computer. The current 13-inch MacBook Pro is configurable with up to 16GB of RAM, and 2TB of SSD storage.
What the leaker is likely referring to is the highest-end model for this new MacBook Pro, and not likely to be referencing the base model, as noted by iMore. As for the processors, it does reaffirm Apple’s reported plans to switch its MacBook Pro lineup to Intel’s 10th generation Ice Lake chips such as the 28 W Ice-Lake U CPU.
As for a timeframe, Jon Prosser does report that Apple will launch a new 14-inch MacBook Pro this month, replacing the current 13-inch model. All in all, time will only tell.
