Apple releases iOS, iPadOS 13.5.1, new macOS update, new betas, and more…

Today was a massive day for Apple in terms of software releases. In total Apple released 3 brand new betas, iOS 13.5.5, iPadOS 13.5.5, and macOS Catalina 10.15.6 beta 1. None of the betas included any major visible changes for users.

Apple also released 5 total updates to the public, most headline-worthy being iOS and iPadOS 13.5.1. These updates officially patched the exploit that made unc0ver 5.0.0 possible, with Apple even mentioning it directly in its security notes. Apple also seeded a supplemental update to macOS Catalina 10.15.5 with simple security improvements.

In three smaller updates, watchOS 6.2.6, tvOS 13.4.6 for the 4th and 5th gen Apple TV, and audioOS 13.4.6 for the HomePod were also released to users.
