9to5Mac is exclusively reporting that they’ve been told by sources that iOS 14 will include a new podcasts app. Per the report, the Podcasts app will gain a similar “For You” tab as Apple Music has in the app.
That means the Podcasts app will learn about your personal preferences to suggest new podcasts available on the platform, making it more customized for each user. A new user profile should let you follow your friends on Apple Podcasts to see what they’re listening to.
Additionally, the report says that the new Podcasts app on iOS 14 will include the ability for creators to offer bonus content to listersns. They’ll appear on the same feed as the normal podcast episodes, but will presumably be in a separate section of the feed.
