Reliable leaker @l0vetodream is reporting that the next macOS update will be called “Big Sur,” named after the central coast mountainous area in California. Apple has opted to name its macOS releases after iconic locations in the state, which started with macOS Yosemite.

The leaker also says that a redesigned UI should be expected in the update, alongside a major update to Safari. No other information was provided. However, earlier reports for macOS suggested that the Messages app will get new features.
