Today Apple released the 5th beta for iOS and iPadOS 14, marking us one step closer to a final release of the new operating system this fall.

After two weeks, Apple released beta 4 which was arguably the biggest beta in the cycle yet. The update brought with it the re-enabling of the COVID19 exposure notification, brand new Apple TV widget, the return of 3D Touch which was removed in iOS 14 beta 3, improved Spotlight search results, and under-the-hood improvements.

Developers enrolled in Apple’s developer program can download the beta from either the developer website or as an over the air update on their device. Public beta testers can expect the public beta later today or tomorrow.
