Google Photos brings trimming, cropping, filters, and more to videos

Today Google released a brand update to Google Photos with some pretty neat features if you take a lot of videos. Alongside typical bug fixes and improvements, the update includes new video editing tools such as the ability to trim, crop, adjust exposure, brightness, saturation amongst a number of other finer settings.

The new features are found the same way you would go to edit a photo. Simply taping edit will bring up a new interface with a preview of the video at the bottom allowing you to scrub through it. You’ll also see 4 new tabs, one for trimming, filters, fine adjustments, and crop/rotate. The crop tabs also add the ability to crop your video into pre-set size, which are, Square, 16;9, or 4;3 for easy social media sharing.

The new features are available as an update via the App Store on iOS, Android support is expected to follow suite soon.
