Widespread speculation has mounted on Apple’s imminent launch of the Apple Watch Series 6, alongside a new iPad refresh.
Jon Prosser reports that Apple will launch a new iPad, and the Apple Watch Series 6 via a press release between September 7th and 11th. If true, it would be a first for the company to launch a new Apple Watch, not alongside its new flagship iPhones. Jon’s track record, one that is hard to beat adds weight that we will see a launch in 2 weeks.
Further adding speculation to a soon release, certain Apple Watch Series 5 models are currently unavailable for delivery, and pickup at certain Apple Stores on apple.com, as first spotted by Tailosive Tech. Upon checking ourselves and as reported by Tailosive, 44nm LTE models in stainless steel and Edition are gone, while aluminum models remain available at the time of writing.
However, even 44nm and LTE models still remain available for store pickup in certain cities such as New York, San Fransico, and others. Apple products including the Apple Watch sometimes go out of stock or may become unavailable for pickup in certain cities due to a number of reasons. But, given the timing of the shortage in supply right as we hit Apple’s busiest season yet does make it notable.
