After two weeks, Apple releases Big Sur Beta 6

macOS 11 beta 6 rect

Today, Apple released a new beta to macOS beta testing developers. This is two weeks after Apple released beta 5.

Beta 5 only brought bug fixes and very little new features or UI changes. The only small thing we noticed was the Screen Sharing icon was updated. Beta 5 seems to be super clean except for various apps crashing every so often especially Apple’s updated Messages macOS app.

macOS Big Sur brings so many new features to macOS that Apple has to retire the macOS 10.X version and upgrade to 11.0 after 19 years. Major features include a whole new designed look, a whole new macOS control center, a faster and privacy-oriented Safari, redesigned widgets in the control center, newly designed Apple apps, in-line replies in Messages, and so much more.
