Apple has hired a former Hollywood executive who worked at Disney and short-form video app Quibi in a bid to expand its Apple TV+ service, The Telegraph reports.

Tim Connolly who served as a lifeline for Disney in growing its Hulu service helped strike deals for the service from major networks and was the spearhead for the companies deal with Spotify to sell the service as a bundle. At Qubib, Connolly was a high-ranking executive member who oversaw the app’s rocky start and worldwide expansion.

Connolly updated his Linkedin profile to state he now works at Apple, however The Telegraph is unable to identify which specific role he has taken on. An Apple spokesperson declined to comment.
