YouTuber and sometimes Apple leaker EverythingApplePro shared today what they claim is the official iPhone 12 Pro chassis. The video posted on Twitter, 5 seconds long shows an iPhone with flat edges, a cut out for LiDAR, what appears to be a magnetic smart connector, and a circular magnetic charging surface.

From the video, we can see Apple has shrunk the size of the mic, as confirmed by EverythingApplePro, and has gotten rid of the metal grate. On the right side of the device there is a weird indent that looks like a smart connector, however has no holes or attachment points. This could be for some sort of magnetic charging capabilities.

On the inside, wireless charging is still present and a cutout for LiDAR is present in the camera array. There are other features of the phone such as what could be a hock above the volume buttons, however, it’s hard to discern.EverythingApplePro says he has more clear images of the chassis which he plans to share.

Despite Apple holding an event next week on Sept. 15th, the iPhone will likely not be making an appearance. Instead, Apple will unveil two new Apple Watches, refreshed iPad models, and possible updates to Apple services such as Apple Card.
