In an update on the App Store, Outlook quietly became the first email app to support being chosen as the default email app on iOS 14. This year with iOS and iPadOS 14 Apple is giving users the freedom to choose a default email app other than its own Mail app, which is not the best.
By choosing Outlook as your default app you’ll no longer be promoted to Apple’s Mail app when clicking on an email address. The behavior has been an annoyance for many iOS and iPadOS users for years, and Apple has finally listened. Alongside choosing a default email app users can choose a default web browser app as well.
