This year Apple TV+ got a total of 18 Emmy nominations with The Morning Show ascertaining 5. Out of its 18 total nominations, Apple won only 1 which went to Billy Crudup as “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series” for his role as Cory Ellison in the Apple original ,The Morning Show. Jennifer Aniston, despite her critically acclaimed performance in the Apple TV+ orginal did not win an Emmy for her role as Alex Levy as “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series” , the same for Steve Carell as Mitch Kessler as Outstanding Lead Actor.

Apple's main website announces 18 Emmy nominations

Apple was clearly heading into the night hoping for more than just 1 win. Earlier this month Apple proudly updated the frontpage of its website to flex its muscles as a streaming titan simply based on the 18 nominations by saying, “18 Emmy Nominations, And we’re just getting started.”
