The iPhone 12 is days away from launch, according to British carrier BT and EE. In an internal video shared with MacRumors, CEO Marc Allera says that the new iPhones are days away from launch and that it hopes to be Apple’s biggest European partner.
“We are just days away from Apple’s next major launch, a 5G iPhone, which will be a huge boost for 5G,” said Allera, in an internal video presentation shared with the company’s employees today. “Teams in all parts of Consumer have been preparing all year to win this launch, and be Europe’s number one partner for Apple.”MacRumors
Making a surprising appearance in the video is Apple’s Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue who praised the carrier for being one of the first to bundle multiple Apple services alongside the purchase of an Apple product.
The launch of the new iPhones coming in October is not a surprise, however, the “days away” comments throw a lot into shambles. Apple announced its “Times Flies” one week prior to event day, so its possible Apple could announce its iPhone 12 focused event as soon as next week, or earlier.
Additionally, AppleInsider reports that a tipster from a carrier in the Netherlands told them that Apple will hold an event on Tuesday, October 13th with iPhone 12 preorders starting that Friday, October 16th. Jon Prosser who has a credible track record has also reported that Apple will hold an event the week commencing October 12th with preorders beginning that same week.
