More than a year since iPadOS 13 with multi-window support launched, Chrome has finally added support in the latest TestFlight beta.

In the latest TestFlight update of the app, version 87.42830.13, Chrome allows you to long-press on any link and select the “Open in New Window” option which will open the link in a new tab in split-screen mode. By doing so, users can easily browse two webpages at once without having to continuously switch between tabs.

While the beta does support multi-window support, it still lacks Slide Over support. Slide Over allows users to quickly open apps by swiping left on the right side of their iPad. The apps then hover-over the current existing app, instead of opening completely in split-screen mode. Support may arrive in a future update.

Other additions in this beta update include a new Safety Check feature which scans your passwords for possibly comprised login information, whether you are browsing in safe mode, and whether you’re running the latest version of Chrome. Additional features include the ability to take a full screenshot of a webpage by pressing the “Full page” toggle at the top of the iPadOS screenshot.

You can join the Chrome for iOS/iPadOS beta here, however space and availability for slots may be limited.
