Apple seeds watchOS 7.1 beta 3 to developers

watchOS 7.1 beta 3 rect

One week after watchOS 7.1 developer beta 2, today Apple released the third beta for its next watchOS 7 update for registered developers.

Unlike the betas of iOS and iPadOS 14.2, watchOS 7.1 is minimal in front-end user changes. Instead, the update focuses on performance and bug fixes. watchOS 7 as a whole is a major update for the Apple Watch. Brining handwashing detection, sleep tracking, watch face sharing and new watch face designs.

With every watchOS 7 beta, we will warn you that unlike the iPhone and iPad, Apple Watches cannot be downgraded in OS. Meaning once you’ve installed a beta update, you will not be able to revert back to the stable public release without visiting an Apple Store.

Regirestrted developers can download the new beta from the Apple Watch app if you have the watchOS developer beta profile installed.
