Apple has extended its partnership with RED to donate eligible proceeds of (PRODUCT) RED purchases to the Global Fund’s COVID‑19 Response until December 31st. In April Apple announced its plan to donate all proceeds to the Fund’s COVID19 response operations until September 30th of this year, however, it’s now extended it until December 31st, 2020.

Following Apple’s September and October event, more products have now joined Apple’s (PRODUCT) RED family including the Apple Watch Series 6, and new iPhone 12 cases such as the silicon MagSafe case. Under normal circumstances proceeds from (PRODUCT) RED purchases would go to the organizations HIV/AIDS programs in sub-Saharan Africa.

With COVID19, Apple is shifting priorities as part of other ways it opted to help in the COVID19 pandemic. Alongside now extending proceeds for the pandemics response, Apple has previously donated masks, PPE, and made significant donations to China during the peak of the virus in March.
