Apple releases iOS and iPadOS 14.2 beta 4 to developers

Apple has released the 4th beta for iOS and iPadOS 14.2, its next major update to iOS/iPadOS 14 after the expected launch of iOS 14.1 which saw its GM release last week.

iOS and iPadOS 14.2 brings a suite of new features such as a redesigned music player on the lock screen, in the control center, and deeper system integration with Shazam. According to user reports iOS and iPadOS 14.2 has so far fixed some of the bugs and performance glitches experienced on the initial releases of iOS 14.

As first spotted by Twitter user @iNico10010, iOS 14.2 beta 4 includes a number of brand new wallpapers which were are dynamic that showcase gorgeous scenery. See them below.

Users who have devices enrolled in Apple’s beta program can download the update via an OTA by going into Settings, and Software Updates. Public beta testers can expect the beta update later today.
