Lee Kun-hee, the former Chairman of Samsung Electronics passed away on October 25th, 2020. At 78, he spent 25+ years of his life-transforming Samsung into the technology giant that it is today.
Following his death, condolences from international figures, world leaders, and politicians poured in. Former US President Geroge W. Bush sent his condolences alongside the President of the International Olympics Committee Thomas bach to the funeral of the late-Samsung Chairman.
Included in the list of people who sent flowers is Apple CEO, Tim Cook. Mr. Lee attended the funeral of late-Apple CEO Steve Jobs in 2011, and in return, and purely out of respect Mr. Cook returned the gesture via followers, given attending in person isn’t entirely possible.
