Bank of Ireland launches Apple Pay for customers

Bank of Ireland enables Apply Pay rect 2

After 3 years of Apple Pay being available in the region, the Bank of Ireland has finally allowed its customers to use Apple’s secure payment method.

This launch, although late, is pivotal in the current climate. With the current pandemic creating payment barriers in various retail and essential stores, with many businesses opting for card only payments. The availability of Apple Pay’s uncapped purchase limit will allow for many more essential transactions to become contact free and much more safe.

Apple Pay will be available to use on both iPhones and Apple Watches for Bank of Ireland users and will work with personal debit, business debit and personal credit cards only.

I love all things tech...hardware, software, code, you name it. Apple began my journey into technology and infused my passion for it. From rocking an iPhone and an Android simultaneously, to building my own PCs and modding retro Mac Pros. I have also wandered into the world of media with graphics design and video editing proving to be a part-time creative outlet. And now, I'm a full time developer.
