Earlier today, Mike Ricci, Director of Communications for the State of Maryland, tweet that COVID-19 exposure notifications are now available within the state of Maryland.

In order to have COVID-19 exposure notifications enabled, make sure that you are on iOS 13.5 or later, and then head to your iPhone’s settings and turn on Exposure Notifications. Opt in and select your region, and then complete the onboarding, which may require you to download an app from the App Store.

When a twitter user asked Mike Ricci about privacy, he responded, “The system putds a premium on privacy, doesn’t track your location, and doesn’t share your identity with other users.”

Additional information on Exposure Notifications can be found on the State of Maryland’s covidLINK website.
