Two weeks ago Apple seeded iOS and iPadOS 14.2 to the public, with it bringing some redesigns to the Now Playing section on the lockscreen and Control Center, alongside a new Shazam toggle.

As a follow-up to that update, today Apple has released iOS 14.2.1 exclusively for iPhone 12 models with most notable a fix for issues regarding an unresponsive screen on the iPhone 12 mini, and issues with iMessage/MSM.

Users on iOS 14.2 have been reporting issues regarding random WiFi drops and missing, inconsistent notifications. Additionally, new iPhone 12 users are experiencing random signals and cellular drops, but that isn’t included in today’s release notes.

Today’s update won’t’ bring any major new changes or features, as those are expected to come in the coming weeks with the iOS 14.3 update, which entered beta testing last week. That update includes support for Apple ProRAW, new Apple Music playlist animations, and a new alarm pop-up.
